Passport Points: How Vet Passport's Referral Rewards Work
By The Vet Passport team · Updated November 5, 2026 · 3 min read
Short answer: Passport Points are Vet Passport's referral rewards. Share your personal link; when a friend joins the waitlist through it, they get 50 pending points and you get 100 pending points. Both unlock when your friend books their first trip. One point equals $1 toward a Vet Passport trip, and points can cover up to 50% of a booking.
How it works
- Get your link. Every waitlist member has a personal referral link. Find it in My Passport.
- Share it. Send it to colleagues, classmates or friends who'd love a CE trip.
- Your friend joins. Points appear as pending for both of you.
- Your friend books. When they book their first trip, both of your points unlock and are ready to use.

Using your points
- 1 Passport Point = $1 toward a Vet Passport trip or add-on experience.
- Points can cover up to 50% of a single booking.
- There's no cap on how many points you can earn.
- Points have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- You can't use your own link to book for yourself.
Roommate points
Trip prices are per person, sharing a room. When two travelers book together to share a room, each gets 250 Passport Points once both bookings are paid. It's a simple way to bring a colleague or friend and save together. See rooms and companions in our booking terms.
Track your points in My Passport
Create your Passport with your email and a password to see your points ready to use, points pending, how many friends you've invited, your full points history and your share link. Open My Passport.
The fine print
Points are earned only when a referred friend completes a booking; sign-ups alone show as pending. Duplicate, fake or self-referrals don't qualify. If the program changes or ends, we'll give notice and honor points already earned for 12 months. Full details are in our booking terms.
